(Scene shows a dilapidated dance studio. The sign says, "DANCE STUDIO OPENING SOON!" Inside, Maddie Ziegler does flips.)
Ziegler: Wow, Madam Zobrinsky's baby grand piano! I can't believe this famous old dance studio is almost mine! (knocks on piano) For luck!
(Two movers bring in a wooden rail.)
Mover 1: Uh, excuse me, Ms. Ziegler, but ain't you nervous about opening up a new dance studio in this place?
Mover 2: Yeah, people swear they've seen the ghost of Madame Zobrinsky haunting her old dance studio here. Whoosh, I'll tell you what.
Ziegler: (plays with piano keys) Yeah, I've heard those rumours. I just don't believe in ghosts. This place is really coming together! (helps mover put down railing) I can't believe this is actually happening!
(Piano music is heard.)
Ziegler: Oh...
Mover 2: Quit messin' around with the piano, Joe! I'm already nervous.
Mover 1: It ain't me! I'm right here.
(The lights flicker and the piano glows, playing on its own.)
Ziegler: That is definitely weird.
(The piano moves on its own, charging at Ziegler.)
Ziegler: Run!
(The piano chases Ziegler and the two movers down flights of stairs. After they exit the building, the piano slams into the ground, smashing into pieces.)
(Footsteps and humming are heard from inside the building. The lights flicker, revealing the ghost of Madame Zobrinsky inside. She shrieks.)
Zobrinsky: Get out. Get out of my studio! And never return, or you will pay! (cackles)
(The door slams.)
Ziegler: Uh, I think it might be time to reconsider that whole ghost thing.
(Intro sequence plays)
Daphne (title card): Jeepers, it's Maddie Ziegler!
(Scene cuts to the road. Fred drives the Mystery Machine.)
Fred: Well, gang, welcome to Pittsburgh, the city of bridges.
Velma: That's right, Fred. It has so many bridges due to its location at the confluence of the Allegheny, Ohio, and Monongahela Rivers.
Shaggy: Like, I prefer the confluence of how these delicious pierogies merge in my mouth!
Scooby: (giggles) Yeah, yeah, confluence!
Shaggy: So many pierogie flavours, so little time. Like, we've got deep-fried hot dog pierogies...
Scooby: ...bacon cheddar...
Shaggy: ...garlicky spinach...
Scooby: ...chocolate fudge sundae...
Shaggy: ...and jalapeño poppers!
Scooby: I love original cheese pierogies! They're my favourite!
Shaggy: O.G.! Like, the coolest thing ever!
(Shaggy and Scooby eat the same pierogie. They accidentally kiss, but each eat their own piece.)
Shaggy: Sublime!
Scooby: Yeah, sublime.
(Scene cuts to the dance studio. The doors are boarded up.)
Daphne: This is Maddie Ziegler's dance studio, but I don't understand. She was supposed to have her big grand opening today.
Velma: Jinkies! I hope she's okay.
Fred: Hey, somebody's up there.
(A silhouette is visible from an upstairs window.)
Fred: Come on, gang, let's check it out.
(Fred, Velma, and Daphne run inside. Shaggy and Scooby stay outside.)
Shaggy: Like, dudes, Scoob and I will stay down here and keep the streets safe.
Scooby: Yeah, the streets safe.
(They notice the destroyed piano playing on its own, scaring them.)
Shaggy: (screams) Like, wait for us!
